Long before climate rebellions became commonplace in Europe, environmental and indigenous activists in Latin America were taking action, confronting destructive corporations and governments which support them. Having been criminalised, attacked and displaced, they continue risking their lives in one of the most dangerous regions in the world for land activists.
Manu is a Spanish documentary filmmaker drawn to social issues who particularly enjoys working on projects with a positive social impact. He’s worked on projects ranging from the lives of Muslim transexuals living in Indonesia to those affected by the favela’s pacification before the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
