Mohsin Sha 11:52, Germany
Tells the story of Atif, a young Middle Eastern man facing a difficult task: to embark himself on an uncertain journey to the west, in search for better opportunities to help his sick mother. As he packs, his sister, Laiba, will try to persuade him not to go. However, as both know, they aren’t in a position where they can afford to rethink things. As Atif boards the container that’ll illegally get him to his destination he’ll find himself against a difficult decision. Being able to only take two kilos of luggage, he must decide whether he’ll carry the thermos filled with water his sister insisted would ensure his survival, or his father´s old jacket, the only thing that is supposed to help him feel close to his family in the toughest of times.
